Your mission
As our Accounting Manager, you will be leading an expert team that manages the day-to-day accounting activities for our HQ and all our subsidiaries. In that role you will be responsible for all accounting related topics and the closing process. Together with your team, you will also deliver unique ideas on process improvements and automatization while working in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll doÂ
- Be the main point of contact for all daily accounting and account closing related topics for all Bitpanda group entities and ensure all accounting tasks has been done correctly and in a timely manner
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, yearly and consolidated financial statements according to the Austrian commercial code (UGB)
- Manage the timely processing of relevant accounting transactions
- Assist with budgeting and preparation of ad-hoc reports for management
- Contribute to projects that improve the quality of the accounting data and financial processes
Who you areÂ
- 4+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with an Austrian certification (“Bilanzbuchhalter”) or a higher-education degree majoring in accounting
- Expertise in Austrian tax law, UGB and group accounting. Payroll knowledge is considered a plus
- Experience in leading projects with the ability to work out new and complex business cases with the understanding of how to reflect these in bookkeeping
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle Netsuite preferred)
- Excellent English skills; fluency in German is an advantage
