The Global Legal team provides legal advice and guidance to OKX and its affiliated entities across all coverage areas and geographic locations, and supports business growth by working with all teams within the company to help them achieve their goals. Our team has attorneys around the world, and handles legal matters in literally hundreds of countries across the globe.
About the Opportunity:
As an Associate General Counsel in our Institutional practice group, you will play a key role in our Global Legal team, actively supporting our global institutional and trading businesses, as well as our Peer-to-Peer (P2P) platform. What You’ll Be Doing:

Act as a key legal advisor within the global institutional legal team, focusing on our institutional business, trading, and P2P platforms, and ensuring compliance and robust legal support across these key business areas;

Provide strategic legal guidance and oversight on complex legal and regulatory issues impacting institutional clients, including contract negotiations, structuring sophisticated crypto financial products, and compliance with both local and international financial regulations;

Provide legal analysis and management of risks associated with new and existing digital assets, particularly focusing on how these assets are utilized and traded by institutional clients and on our P2P platform;

Collaborate closely with the product development and business development teams to ensure that new products, services, and business initiatives align with regulatory requirements and advance the company’s strategic goals;

Develop and refine policies and procedures that govern institutional and P2P operations to enhance the legal and regulatory framework, ensuring that it adapts to the changing landscape of digital assets;

Address any additional matters as advised by the legal team leaders, providing flexibility to respond to new challenges and opportunities within the legal landscape.
What We Look For In You:

Qualified to practice law in the United States, with 3 to 10 years of experience in the financial markets sector;

Proven track record at a top-tier law firm or in-house role at a top financial institution, with exposure to institutional trading operations, preferably coupled with experience in the digital assets sector;

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural, and growth-oriented environment;

Strong skills in building trust and providing effective legal advice to business teams, with the capability to navigate rapidly evolving legal landscapes;

A highly collaborative team member who is comfortable within a high-functioning multicultural legal department.

Okcoin Statement:
The salary range for this position is $152,000 to $229,000. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
