Overview

The Business Continuity Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing the Company’s business continuity program. The manager will support all business plan activities necessary to enable the Organization to manage a crisis event as well as meet compliance requirements for BCP planning. The position’s primary goals will be to Identify, document, and test business needs against the Company infrastructure and identify recovery strategies and gaps.

Qredo is seeking a highly capable individual to manage Qredo’s Insider Threat Program, including assisting with enhancing the program framework, policies, standards and procedures, technology, governance, and overall reporting. This individual will also be responsible for performing case management, investigations, and analysis with the goal of predicting, detecting, and responding to insider threats and incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, drives, and maintains the Qredo Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery program. This includes developing, assessing, and measuring continuity and disaster recovery plans and recovery capabilities. This includes identifying, tracking, and managing recovery risks to an acceptable business risk level.
  • Develops and updates plans to ensure critical business processes are able to continue to function during and after disruptive events such as natural disasters, system failures, loss of facilities, loss of resources, loss of key suppliers, human error, and other events.
  • Design and outline BCP goals, objectives, and scope for business plans and Crisis Management
  • Effectively collaborate with IT and Engineering professionals in implementing sound disaster recovery-related solutions
  • Liaise with key infrastructure teams to identify gaps, set recovery time objectives, and convey business needs/expectations.
  • Hold business plans to Enterprise BCP goals and challenge business leaders on the identification of critical functions and needs.
  • Develops relationships with business and technology executives, managers, process owners, and technology owners to execute and support the program.
  • Develops and executes a disaster recovery program. This includes working across Qredo business lines to develop recovery strategies that support Qredo
  • Develops and maintains steering committees to drive commitments and improvements across the program.
  • Provides communication, awareness, and training for audiences including senior leaders, project teams, business representatives, and technical staff.
  • Measures and reports on program status, recovery capabilities, and risks. Maintain a risk register.
  • Partners with stakeholders, crisis management, and incident response teams to define benchmarks and metrics and align the program with management expectations.
  • Organize, communicate and facilitate Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery lifecycle planning, along with business impact analysis reviews.
  • Ensures critical third-party service providers are considered during continuity and disaster recovery planning efforts.
  • Partners with the Policy Committee to document and publish policies and procedures in support of the Business Continuity and Recovery program.
  • Researches and communications best practices and current trends to support the program.
  • Assess third party software and vendor risk from a DR/BC viewpoint
  • Oversee Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Plans, document preparedness status and reports to management, and track status of any agreed remediation items to closure

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in assessing all risk types, Business Continuity, and Operational Resiliency experience (BIA, BC plans, disaster recovery, recovery strategy exercises, incident management, monitoring, and reporting)
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (ISO 22301, BSI 200-4, ISO 2700x)
  • Expertise in SaaS and/or cloud computing
  • Certification from DRII or BCI or similar a plus
  • Crisis management experience is a plus
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery planning techniques, technologies and best practices, methods used in performing risk analyses and business impact analyses, as well as DR capabilities in the Cloud
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience with BCM software and tools (Fusion Framework, Archer, etc.) is a plus
  • Willingness and flexibility to wear different hats and work on different areas where needed
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work nights and weekends during a crises
