We’re seeking a talented Business Development Manager to work with the Head of Europe on Xapo’s expansion in Europe. This full-time position is planned to be remote, meaning you can work from anywhere in Europe!
As Business Development Manager you will play a critical role in defining and driving strategic partnerships to grow Xapo in Europe. You will reach out to potential partners about business opportunities, following the sales process through from initial conversation and appointment setting, to pitching bespoke solutions that match prospects’ requirements, to signed contract. You will fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insights from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations in regards to business opportunities. You will be responsible for managing existing partners and maintaining a target list of prospects.

Monitor regional performance and identify areas for performance improvements
Deep dive into customer behavior and trends, generating insights that can lead to customer growth or other business opportunities
Design and analyze quantitative tests to validate customer or business hypotheses
Conduct external benchmarking and scenario analysis to guide sound business decisions
Develop pipeline and facilitate the proposal process for prospects, including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations and client presentations
Execute against mutually determined quarterly KPIs by signing and onboarding affiliate partnerships that drive Xapo user growth
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Xapo’s products and services and communicate new product developments to existing and potential customers
BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, or similar
10+ years of experience in Management Consulting plus Payments or Financial Services
Excellent negotiation, problem-solving and analytical skills, with impeccable business judgment
Effective sales and presentation skills

Ability to communicate data-based decisions to individual contributors as well as leadership. You are able to articulate clearly and defend your decision making process.
Entrepreneurial – willing to do many different things, move fast, have a high degree of ownership and good judgment
Ability to read, write and speak fluent English. Proficiency communicating in Dutch, German, or another European language is highly desirable.
