Your Opportunity

An exciting chance to get in early to build, foster and engage with a diverse and vibrant community in the nascent cryptocurrency space. Meet our users where they are and encourage discourse around cryptocurrency, taxes and our product. You’ll set the tone and direction of our user-spaces as our first community hire.

You will:

  • Take ownership of our external facing user communities. (Reddit, Telegram and Discourse)
  • Set the direction, goals and metrics that help us understand our community’s success.
  • Research and implement campaigns that grow our community base and increase engagement with users.
  • Triage and escalate customer issues from the forum to the product support team.
  • Act as the liaison between our communities and CoinTracker teams about the user experience.
  • Communicate upcoming product releases to our community.
  • Work collaboratively with our product team and engineers to understand, prioritize and implement customer feedback.

Some skills we’re excited about:

  • Familiarity with community engagement platforms like Discourse, Telegram and Reddit.
  • Experience working in a user experience, community management, customer support or customer success role
  • An in-depth understanding of social media and its impact with customers, as well as familiarity with popular platform

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Loves building and fostering relationships.
  • Is passionate about cryptocurrency or other technology helping to bridge gaps in financial equity and prosperity.
  • Is productive, resourceful, and an effective problem solver.
  • Works effectively in a remote setting and are able to overlap with our core hours of 9 AM to 12 PM PT.
  • Thrives in an early-stage startup environment with less stability and more ambiguity.

100-day outcomes:

  • Make 5 weekly posts to our community that engage our audience in meaningful conversations
  • Become proficient in the day-to-day usage of CoinTracker
  • Identify a series of metrics to determine successful community building efforts
  • Create a weekly round up of issues impacting the community
  • Implement community guidelines and moderation best practices

One-year outcomes:

  • Establish and mentor a team of community volunteers who help support our community of users
  • User product inquiries on our communities are responded to within one business day
  • An industry leading community that is diverse, active and welcoming
  • Maintain a continuous and actionable pipeline of customer feedback to the product team

We are a fully internationally distributed, tight-knit team. We have minimal process, and the majority of our time is spent working and collaborating asynchronously through tools like Figma, Github, Google Meet, Linear, Notion, Slack, Zendesk. We also stay aligned and bonded through weekly sprints, standups, all hands, and socials.
