The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Community Marketing Manager to join our team. As the Community Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for building, nurturing, and growing our community across both developers and creators. You will play a pivotal role in fostering engagement, content, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among our diverse audiences – creators and  developers – both internally and externally.

Your top goal is to build and promote programs that help the Solana Community (developers and creators) succeed on Solana.

To Be Successful in This Role
You will:

  • Ensure the success of the Solana community
  • Help Solana builders reach their goals through amplifying content, suggesting presence at events, mapping the online journey for better access to information and engaging in community activities
  • Identify where the gaps are in the Solana Community needs and lead strategy and execution of Solana’s developer advocate teams to speak at conferences, meetups, and host community calls
  • Suggest deliver formats and channels for delivering the best content to the community
  • Drive surveys while directly with advocates or Community members
  • Host tutorials and AMA sessions for community members
  • Review learning programs, documentation, and video series and make recommendations on ways to improve access to that information
  • Build ways to get resources to developers in a timely manner both online and offline
    Drive messaging and content for developers and community members, understand what content is needed and in what format to make builders successful
  • Support internal Solana teams working with advocates with marketing channels, influencer content strategy and collaboration
  • Develop and promote content that promotes engagement with developers, solves their problems, and bundles Solana solutions into easily accessible packages for its community

You ideally have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in developer relations, community management, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of software development, programming languages, and developer tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Experience with community platforms, social media, and developer forums.
  • Passion for building and nurturing communities, with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and build relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track, measure, and report on community metrics.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
