Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage and backup to compensation processes and queries, HRIS approvals, and research and creation of compensation packages for new hires/promotions, limiting the impact of PTO or absence
  • Partner with finance on options planning, tracking
  • Partner with recruiting and hiring managers to research and develop competitive compensation packages aligned to our compensation philosophy
  • Research country compensation and benefits requirements in relation to: Evaluation of country-specific compensation and benefit requirements and common practices for determining employment strategy (employee/contractor/BPO) and benefit offerings
  • Changing regulations in compensation and benefits globally, analyzing impact to Kraken, and proposing changes
  • Conduct benefit usage audits, make recommendations on how to improve employee utilization of benefits and maximizing company investment
  • Aid in mandatory compensation and benefits reporting
  • Conduct special compensation and benefits as well as People Experience projects as requested by management

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of hands on experience in compensation analysis, both domestically and internationally
  • 4 year Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification, PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
  • Sound knowledge of the Regulatory and Legislative imperatives and impacts related to benefits programs (FLSA, Sec 125, ERISA, 409A, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Must have experience with compensation research and data analysis as they relate to compliance requirements in the banking or finance verticals
  • High-level proficiency with HRIS, Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Experience using the latest compensation analysis tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Experience in both a start-up and a large global company strongly preferred
  • Experience working remotely a plus
  • Must be a proactive solution oriented team player with a proven ability to collaborate with all levels of stakeholders
  • A passion & knowledge for crypto
