About the Role:
Voyager has an exciting new opportunity for a self-starter looking to be part of the Trading Operations team focusing on custody and staking. The right person for this role will be someone who is highly diligent with excellent attention to detail and committed to risk management and quality control. They should understand quality management concepts and have the ability to build and lead a team in developing creative and innovative ways to improve operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee custody operations for Voyager’s customer and corporate digital assets.
- Develop and maintain detailed working knowledge of all digital asset custody solutions from cold storage/qualified custody, to hosted self-custody, to self-managed warm and hot wallets and everything along the spectrum.
- Oversee daily reconciliation ensuring Voyager’s books and records match custodial positions and tie to on-chain activity.
- Conduct ongoing due diligence on all of Voyager’s custodians.
- Ensure custody solutions and processes operating within prescribed internal control framework.
- Manage Voyager’s staking P&L; develop and maintain detailed working knowledge of staking at a protocol-specific level and work closely with blockchain developers to conduct staking operations.
- Manage liquidity and staking epochs to ensure that Voyager always has enough liquidity to facilitate daily operations.
- Conduct ongoing risk management on staking activities to ensure Voyager is not penalized for on-chain activities.
- Create and ensure timely delivery of day-to-day quality metrics for management & internal stakeholders.
- Provide clear, timely and actionable reporting to be delivered to internal/external teams.
- Coach and develop a team committed to quality excellence.
Qualifications:
- Crypto experience is a must, blockchain development experience is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services, technology, business operations, and/or quality management.
- 2+ years of people management.
- Ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, reconcile multiple data sources, and create and review processes.
- Ability to perform complex analysis and provide reporting metrics.
- Proven track record in building and leading teams.
- Desire to help others achieve their best.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to meeting the evolving needs of a high-growth and fast paced organization.
- Proficient in excel and/or google sheets.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Experience working at a high-growth startup/tech company.
- Quality control certification is a plus (i.e. Six Sigma, TQM, etc.)
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Proficient with SQL and creating/running queries (Snowflake, Tableau, etc.)
- Crypto knowledge.
