Overview

  • Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive physical security program for Ripple
  • Development and implementation of security policies and procedures for physical security including:
    • Conducting the risk assessment, threat analysis and security audits for physical security
    • Presenting risk mitigation strategies and managing gaps to closure
    • Identifying industry best practices
    • Creating and publishing security policies and procedures in alignment with the overall security program and other company policies (i.e. Code of Conduct,Anti-Bribery, etc.)
    • Managing the deployment and operation of physical security systems and programs
    • Developing and delivery of a security awareness and ongoing training program for employees including a travel safety program;
    • Providing crisis management services and ensuring business continuity during unforeseen events
    • Qualifying and managing security vendors
    • Publishing quarterly and yearly security summaries and metrics
  • Monitoring employee travel and managing risk mitigation strategies to ensure safety especially when traveling to locations that may have security/safety concerns;
  • Support investigations for allegations of fraud and other potential criminal activity;
  • Manage liaison relationship with appropriate emergency response and intelligence organizations such as law enforcement at the local, state and federal level;
  • Managing both internal and third party physical security professionals to provide consistent, high quality and cost effective security support;
  • Establishing strong business partnerships with leadership and their teams;
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration with Ripple’s Information security, legal and facilities team.
  • Developing and monitoring comprehensive budgets

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence business clients to deliver results while managing risk to the enterprise on a global scale.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining a strong culture of compliance and have a proven track record of operating with the highest ethical standards.
  • Demonstrated understanding how company culture is influenced by, and can be reflected in security programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
