Are you looking for a part-time, remote HR role in the technology sector?
Protokol are hiring for a part-time HR Manager to join our team. We require an experienced HR professional to manage our people experience function efficiently and effectively. The role will include various aspects of HR and people experience and as such we’re looking for a generalist with a broad range of skills in the HR field.
Working as our HR Manager, you’ll will have the opportunity to shape the HR function in a small but growing businesses, implementing systems and processes that will support our continued expansion. You’ll work closely with the leadership team and have a direct impact on our company culture and people experience.
We are a remote business, so this role will suit someone who has a good work-from-home environment and can manage HR responsibilities remotely. Days of work are negotiable and can be agreed on during offer stage although we are looking for approximately 16-25 hours per week and ideally seeking someone based in a European time zone. Salary is also negotiable based on level of experience and number of hours/days contracted.
Job Role & Responsibilities
- The HR Manager will be responsible for all human resources functions in our growing company, ensuring we maintain both rapid growth and a positive company culture.
- We are looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of HR responsibilities and contribute to the strategic development of our company. The ideal candidate will be able to balance the needs of a small, dynamic business with best-practice HR principles.
- Create and deliver an effective HR Strategy for the business.
- Manage the whole People Experience cycle, from recruitment, onboarding, and performance management, to talent development and strategic reporting.
- Take ownership of performance management and people development schemes, working closely with the leadership team to deliver these.
- Manage specific areas of HR administration, including employee onboarding, and HR reporting.
- Develop and maintain company policies that comply with current regulations.
- Ensure managers are equipped with the skills and resources to effectively manage workforce issues.
Required Skills & Experience
- A minimum 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within the technology sector.
- Proven experience in HR management, particularly in a Startup or SME environment.
- Strong knowledge of European employment and contractor law and best practices.
- Experience of managing a HR function that includes remote employees.
- The ability to critique and review HR and employment policies to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Experience in performance management, continuous feedback and people development.
- Proficiency in conducting performance reviews and managing recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Confidence in providing knowledgeable professional advice.
- Excellent organizational, planning and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
