As Ripple grows around the globe, our approach to onboarding new employees will need to scale with it. We are seeking an Onboarding Manager to design and lead an immersive, inspiring, and engaging program for our new hires across the organization. The Onboarding Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the new hire experience maintains its strong brand and excellence, while executing flawlessly as our cohorts of new hires increase in size, frequency, and location. We are seeking someone who has experience leading onboarding programs at scale, is curious and creative, and can execute thoughtfully in an accelerated, exploratory environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Own & Lead our Welcome Week new hire experience + programming
- Lead the facilitation of key sessions and events for our new hires, including onboarding programs that currently happen biweekly, but may increase to weekly, if needed
- Maintain cross-functional partnerships and “build the bench” of presenters for our 101 courses
- Redesign and iterate on a top-notch onboarding experience for our hybrid workforce, aiming to increase inclusion and engagement in support of Ripple’s culture
- Demonstrate an authentic interest and solid knowledge of how Ripple works
- Analyze & report regularly on the effectiveness of Welcome Week programming and the new hire experience
- Coach hiring managers on best practices for onboarding new team members
- Be the nucleus of the new hire experience, working closely with internal partners such as Recruiting, IT, HR Ops, Executive Leadership and other stakeholders on effective processes and clear roles
- Lead the process of co-designing an updated onboarding process with our new HRIS and other information platforms
- Anticipate and adapt to global hiring needs, including:
- Facilitating time-zone friendly, region-specific sessions for our new hires in EMEA and APAC
- Traveling to regions, when needed
- Work with the Head of L&D on global onboarding needs at scale, both now and in the future:
- Program evaluation, strategy and operations, content additions or revisions
- Partner closely with the L&D Coordinator to:
- Ensure the logistics (correspondence, global enrollment/scheduling, internal communication and ticketing, vendor communications, etc.) of onboarding run efficiently and effectively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute, troubleshoot, and optimize onboarding processes while uncovering and addressing process redundancies
- Manage & maintain onboarding content on the LMS and internal wiki page
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- A leader who has experience with global onboarding at scale.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills, and the ability to demonstrate them in hybrid environments.
- Genuine empathy for the experience of new hires, and a willingness to be their “first friend” at Ripple.
- Responsiveness, knowing you are often the first point of contact for our new hires.
- A natural curiosity for problem solving and creative thinking.
- Strong collaboration and polished communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence senior leaders and cross-functional and/or regional stakeholders.
- A deep personal belief and commitment to diversity and belonging at work.
- A passion for Learning & Development skills & building a culture of growth.
- Comfort using a Learning Management System.
- Experience with reporting & data analysis to provide program summaries and leverage for future program strategy.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous initiatives, with the intuition to switch between priorities to provide balanced support & engagement.
