Centrifuge is a fast growing DeFi project with the big mission to bring real-world finance and DeFi together, unlocking economic opportunity for all. We are now looking for a People Ops Lead to join our fully remote team! Roles at Centrifuge are ever-changing (and up to you to define) but here’s our idea of what you’ll be focusing on;

What You’ll Do

You will play the critical role leading our People strategy to develop, implement and improve people processes and programs while overseeing business as usual. Our Self Managing (SMO) team structure and decentralized approach to work will allow for you to deep dive into organizational development while also adapting legal and compliance policies across the entire team. Being an SMO combined with being a fully remote team means that we are looking for someone who can tackle the specific challenges that comes with this, for example; working in a global environment across many different jurisdictions, time zones and cultures!


  • Drive forward people operations functions including: team growth/recruiting, organizational development, processes and employee experience
  • Develop and maintain a strong human resources foundation for the team. This includes, for example; payroll and benefit policies, compensation strategy, employment law requirements and related administration and processes
  • Champion our employee experience, driving our onboarding/off-boarding efforts and all practices designed to provide the best possible experience for all team members
  • Collaborate with our organization development team on programs such as feedback processes, professional development paths and conflict resolution
  • Foster our unique culture with supporting a remote international team across many different time zones
  • Update and maintain the Centrifuge Handbook and ensure that people-related topics are consistently updated and shared
  • Develop our processes around people topics and recommend strategic changes as we grow


  • Senior experience ideally leading People Ops at a start-up
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to establish strong relationships at all levels and across functions
  • Passion for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)
  • Ability to thrive within a remote and self managing team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, self managing and changing environment
  • Experience in change management and building culture towards implementing successful self-management structures, removing hierarchies, and establishing facilitative leadership models
  • Required expertise around legal aspects of people management with a particular focus on the United States and Europe
  • Understanding of the entire team member lifecycle, with the ability to recommend process-oriented and/or operational solutions to improve the team member experience
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and occasionally ambiguous environment
