Overview

Wormhole Labs is a technology company that specializes in multi-blockchain solutions tailored for companies, DAOs, and foundations. Our extensive knowledge spans a broad spectrum of blockchain technologies, allowing us to create advanced, impactful protocols. We are committed to providing developers and clients with the most innovative tools necessary to excel in a distributed economy.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Wormhole Labs, you will make significant contributions to Wormhole’s SDKs and open source frontend components. This includes the Wormhole TypeScript SDK, which developers use to interact with Wormhole protocols, and Wormhole Connect, an embeddable widget that allows developers to include Wormhole-powered asset transfers directly into their application.

What you will do

  • Contribute to the development of Wormhole TypeScript SDK, Wormhole Connect, and other open source frontend components and libraries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather customer requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them to enhancements in these components and libraries.
  • Follow best practices for secure frontend development and build future best practices alongside Wormhole security researchers.
  • Maintain and improve testing frameworks and thoroughly test your code with multiple kinds of tests.
  • Stay up to date with the latest in web3 development best practices, tooling, and industry trends.

The ideal candidate will

  • Have 3+ years of experience building production-grade SDKs used by thousands of developers.
  • Be high agency and effect the outcomes they wish to see.
  • Demonstrate customer obsession and feel pride in building great experiences.
  • Be highly collaborative within Wormhole Labs, with other Wormhole contributors, and with customers.
  • Care deeply about the business outcomes of your work and challenge priorities when the business impact is unclear.
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, although equivalent practical experience will also be taken into consideration.

We provide

  • Competitive salary and restricted token units, dependent on position type and location.
  • Discretionary bonus dependent on company and individual performance.
  • Unlimited time off, healthcare premium reimbursement, and 401K.
  • Macbook or Windows laptop and dedicated workstation as needed.
  • Flexibility of working from wherever you have work authorization, as long as you are available ~10-6PM US Eastern Time. We minimize unnecessary meetings, but building decentralized systems requires synchronous communication.

Important Note: This role is only open to candidates who have previous experience building production-grade SDKs. In your application, please include examples of previous SDKs you have built, ideally directly linking to the open source code. Applications without this information will be rejected. If you are a real applicant, please tell us about the most difficult technical challenge you’ve solved recently – what was the problem, what made it difficult, and how did you solve it?
