Responsibility:

  • Analyze and resolve card transaction variances during the daily settlement reconciliation process.
  • Reconcile each network/endpoints settlement received against the internal processing platform to ensure appropriate settlement is received and identify any settlement differences.
  • Research and resolve all out of balances conditions.
  • Reconcile and validate settlement received against settlement paid out to vendors.
  • Utilize daily match and kill process to identify exceptions requiring further handling.
  • Reconcile and verify rebates and cashback paid out to clients.
  • Research and process exceptions to appropriately settle exception adjustments to cardholders and terminals.
  • Prepare Daily Settlement Reconciliation (DSR) to be utilized in the Reconciliation of the Settlement Bank Account.
  • Review and ensure all approvals are obtained on the DSR recon.
  • Assist with other reconciliations as required.
  • Maintain open communications between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist other team members and perform other tasks within the department as required by management.
  • Drive change from a team member perspective with regard to the implementation of automated systems and the streamlining of existing processes.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required (in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • High School Diploma with appropriate experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2-6 years of experience in Accounting, Account Reconciliation or back office banking helpful.
  • Experience working with EFT networks, such as Mastercard, Visa, Shazam, NYCE, Fiserv, Pulse, STAR or CU24 helpful.
  • Demonstrate good analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify cause and effect and communicate results in a structured manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, time management skills and the ability to handle multiple deadlines daily.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office applications, and Google Docs/Sheets
  • Must be able to work well with others, specifically within a team environment.
  • Enthusiastic team player, but also capable of working independently.
  • Strong ability to effectively interact with management and cross-functional departments on a regular basis.
