Storj is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Integrations team. As part of the team, you will contribute to our S3-compatibility layer, Link Sharing Service, CLI, and other integrations with the core platform as well as fundamental features of the Storj distributed network to build a better alternative to the traditional cloud.

We are looking for people who have a demonstrated ability to learn, grow, understand requirements, and get work done.

Note: This position is fully remote and does not require relocation or visa sponsorship. We are currently unable to sponsor work visas. Additionally, the team you will be joining is globally distributed, with members located in North America, Europe, and Oceania. Therefore, this position necessitates flexibility regarding working hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve Storj S3-compatibility layer, Link Sharing Service, Uplink CLI, and other integrations
  • Improve S3-compatibility and related test suites
  • Design, implement, and maintain features, libraries, and tools for the Storj network
  • Actively participate in architectural design and code reviews
  • Implement automation efforts around builds, deployment, and scaling
  • Monitor production environments, servers, and applications for health, performance, and security
  • Work directly with the QA and Support teams to resolve issues
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and be able to respond in a timely fashion during off-hours

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with professional coding in Go or similar programming languages, 1-3 years of experience is preferred
  • Security-first mindset
  • Working knowledge or deep interest in distributed systems
  • Working knowledge or deep interest in systems administration and computer networking
  • Familiarity with observability tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, and similar)
  • ​Ability to learn new programming languages, frameworks, APIs, and tools quickly
  • Eagerness to be collaborative, quality-conscious, highly self-motivated, and use excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

Salary Range

  • $117,000 to $148,000 USD (salary may be adjusted based on location)
