Overview

As Ripple’s first Senior Vice President of People, reporting into the CEO, you’ll bring your strategic thought leadership, talent and culture-building expertise to help accelerate the company through its next stage of rapid growth and development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • leading the global ‘People’ org as a product and driver of the business;
  • being a trusted strategic partner and advisor to the CEO, senior leadership and management teams;
  • building strong connections and communication lines among employees and between Ripple headquarters and its global offices;
  • shaping, nurturing and championing Ripple’s bold, open culture;
  • creating a competitive employment brand for Ripple that attracts and retains the best talent; and
  • driving to standardize globally on the most effective methods, policies and procedures for managing talent (i.e., interviewing and assessing new hires; calibrating, rewarding and promoting employee performance; handling employee relations).

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Build a strong relationship with the CEO, his direct reports and senior managers
    • Participate as a strategic and valued contributor at his weekly executive staff meetings
    • Hold regular 1:1s with his direct reports to keep a pulse and offer coaching / counsel on their orgs, plans, progress and challenges
      • Join their staff meetings as appropriate
    • Design org structures, leadership development plans and bench strategies
    • Help plan quarterly executive off-sites and team-building events
  • Design a People org vision, strategy, roadmap and philosophy in partnership with the CEO
  • Build, manage and develop a powerhouse global People team
  • Build a strong global People platform for Ripple, both internally and externally, and be the culture bearer for the company
    • Position and develop the People team to be front and center and fully integrated into the business
    • Present and participate in weekly company lunch meetings, quarterly All-Hands and executive off-sites
    • Develop and execute on a talent branding and culture development / internal marketing strategy and plan
    • Partner closely with the Internal Communications team on employee messaging and content
  • Own the bar for hiring and retaining the right (highest quality) people at every level
  • Keep a pulse on the most innovative People practices; introduce, create or customize ones that uniquely fit for Ripple

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus
