Overview
BitMEX is seeking a technical writer to document our product decisions and improve knowledge sharing and communication across teams. You will work cross functionally as you collaborate with engineering and design teams to to craft highly technical documentation on the largest crypto trading platform by volume.
What We’re Looking For:
The position calls for a engineering and design minded individual who can translate complex product interactions and components into easy to read and understand terms. Some specifics we are looking for:
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Experience writing documentation for highly complex products and users (trading, crypto, and fintech experience a huge plus)
- Experience working with software engineers as part of the software development process
- Proficiency in technical writing and editing skills. Superior command of the English language including rules and usage
- Ability to project manage a document set that includes all components of the customer journey
- Prior experience researching and analyzing complex technical information
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot risks before they affect project deadlines or deliverable quality
What You’ll Do:
- Work with the UX team to document BitMEX products and features, for Engineering, Product, and Executive Teams
- Determine documentation needs
- Maintain the knowledge base of UX documentation, updating as needed
- Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding
- Respond to questions about documentation
- Gather usability feedback regarding documentation to make improvements
- Revise documentation as new issues arise
