Responsibilities

  • Be a critical linguistic bridge between global parties and project teams across the company, responsible for clear communication across different cultures
  • Translation of documents (Korean-English as main language pair)
  • Edit /proof read translated documents (as and when required)
  • Transcribe audio/video media (Korean-English language pair)
  • Attend meetings and assist in translation when required – both in person of via conference calls
  • Responsible for TEP (Translation, Editing, Proofing) work as part of a translation unit in projects, as well as in meeting their individual translation deadlines
  • As and when needed, to assist in certain Company projects
  • Help to set translation best practices within the company

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Others or equivalent.
  • Required fluent language(s): Korean and English [Korean-Chinese is also relevant]
  • At least 2 Year(s) of working experience as a translator is required for this position
  • Active experience with consecutive translation strongly preferred
  • Strong English written linguistic abilities
  • Computer literate
  • Preferably specialized in FinTech, technology, finance, legal or equivalent
  • Shows initiative and motivation, especially in meeting project deadlines
