About the Team and Role 

As the executive leader of the User Acquisition team, you’ll play a foundational role in accelerating growing the BlockFi platform.  Your goal is to set strategy across performance marketing, growth acquisition, partnerships, and content.  You know how to recruit, inspire, and develop the careers of your team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead user acquisition across a variety of strategies including performance marketing, growth acquisition, and content.
  • Build a high performance organization.  Recruit, inspire, and grow the careers of a high caliber growth team with a strong leadership and management philosophy.
  • Develop and communicate a strategic framework across the full marketing lifecycle from campaign ideation, creative execution, acquisition, landing page optimization, user on-boarding, and remarketing
  • Partner strategically with Engagement Marketing leadership to develop data driven segmentation and maximize LTV.
  • Be a thought leader with Creative and Product Marketing to develop user insights and core value props that guide the strategic decision making of the company.
  • Partner with Marketing Technology to develop and implement advanced multi-channel targeting and segmentation strategies.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, and Analytics to reimagine user acquisition, new user experiences, and retention.
  • Partner with finance to drive strategic decision making on media budget, margin targets and headcount within the context of the company level P&L.
  • The successful candidate will need to have a growth mindset. We move fast, and we are looking for someone who would be enthusiastic and excited about opportunities to learn all aspects of BlockFi.

About You 

  • At least 10 years of experience in B2C user acquisition managing media budgets over $10 million annually.
  • Experience within the financial sector with a strong understanding of a broad set of growth tactics and media channels in a hyper-growth environment.
  • History of recruiting, managing, and developing the careers of high caliber growth teams, including managing managers.
  • Experience collaborating with leaders in the marketing org (e.g. Creative, Product Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Marketing Technology) and cross functionally (e.g. Product, Engineering and Design) to develop step function growth in user acquisition.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding aggressive user acquisition goals in a hyper-growth environment.
  • Ability to partner with Marketing Technology to architect ad ops, customer data, and audience management platforms.
  • Experience instituting a strong testing culture across creative, incrementality, and large scale regression analyses to inform budget allocation and strategic decision making.
  • Ability to communicate strategic narratives at the executive level.
  • Preferable to have international experience but not necessary.
