Your mission
You will lead Third-Party Risk Management and Outsourcing globally, across Bitpanda. You are a ‘second-line’ (2LOD) officer responsible for implementing, maintaining and operating Bitpanda’s global outsourcing strategy and framework. As part of your remit, you will take on the role of ‘Outsourcing Manager’ for Bitpanda Group, for Bitpanda’s regulated German entity.
You will oversee material and non-material Outsourcing arrangements and monitor third party risk in accordance with the regulatory requirements across multiple regulated entities within the Bitpanda Group. Responsibilities will include ensuring agreements, SLA’s, KRIs, KPI’s and other processes are in place to manage material outsourcing services against respective regulatory requirements. The role will also include reviewing and analysing documentation, preparation of reports, development of Management Information and providing support on the assessment of new third party services.
The role will report to the CFO and will be part of the Group Risk Management Function. You will work closely with internal stakeholders such as Risk, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Technology. And potentially represent Bitpanda to external stakeholders, such as regulators.
What you’ll do
- Continue development of Bitpanda’s third-party and outsourcing framework including, documentation, assessments, systems and tools implemented across the Group.
- Provide ‘second-line’ review and challenge of material outsourcing arrangements with both internal and external counterparties, helping implement SLAs, KRI’s and other monitoring.
- Be responsible and accountable for Bitpanda’s group’s outsourcing profile by developing Bitpanda’s outsourcing and Third-Party register, in alignment with regulatory requirements ( EBA).
- Oversee implementation and adherence of the Third–Party Risk lifecycle. From Identification and assessment to monitoring and exit planning.
- Provide training, as appropriate, to business partners on Outsourcing & Third Party Risk Management framework, policies, standards, processes, procedures and alignment with Global procurement processes.
Who you are
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Outsourcing, Intra Group, Third Party Risk including MaRisk, EBA Outsourcing, PRA SS2/21 and other regulatory equivalents.
- Experience in developing and operating risk/outsourcing frameworks.
- Experience in managing third parties, developing Service Level Agreements (SLA) aligned with regulatory guidelines (ideally banking) and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication in German and English and presentation skills and proven ability to effectively interact with team members, clients and peers, earning their trust and establishing credibility
- Minimum of 7+ years focused expertise in Third Party Risk and managing Outsourcing Services.
